Our client is a 4 billion year International Drilling Tools & Services Supplier based in Houston focused on growth, innovation, customer focus, and living our core values of Integrity, Commitment to Stakeholders, and Passion for Excellence.

As the VP of Global Supply Chain, you’ll develop a strategy that will rationalize the Company’s supplier base and introduce supplier productivity programs aimed at cost reduction, improved process capability, lead time compression, and implementation of Company/Supplier information processes and systems that remove non-value added transactions. You’ll also collaborate with Business Unit Supply Chain Directors to fully leverage corporate wide purchasing and other duties as directed. This position will directly manage all indirect spend and leverage this spending across the entire organization.

Job Functions:

  • Develop both strategic and tactical procurement and transportation policies, plans and objectives; coordinate purchased material inventory planning and control programs; develop and administers programs to maintain excellence in business relationships between MCG and its suppliers.
  • Implement programs and practices aimed at reducing supplier base and to further integrate our suppliers in our manufacturing operations.
  • Establish performance standards and objectives regarding quality, cost, and timely delivery for Purchasing.
  • Ensure approved Company policies and procedures are being carried out.
  • Develop long-range Purchasing strategies and plans.
  • Ensure that the selection, development, evaluation and management of purchasing personnel comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Develops short and long-range strategies and plans for the supply, quality assurance, inventory control levels, and price protection of purchased materials and services to meet Company needs, including new supplier development.
  • Ensure timely “on-time” delivery of all purchased materials.
  • Review existing and future supplier capacities to ensure that they have the capabilities to meet the Company’s immediate and strategic needs.
  • Develop and forward to appropriate Senior Management Members cost/price forecasts, supplier quality analyses, commodity availability and capacities, market trends, inventory planning and control status, and key supplier profitability trends on a timely basis.
  • Integrate sourcing activities cross functionally to provide and share in procurement best practices and drive important supplier initiatives, i.e., Supplier Rating Systems, Synchronous Flow Technology, Integrated Product Development, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement programs as they occur.
  • Demonstrate innovative techniques and efforts geared towards maintaining, evaluating and rationalizing reliable strategic partnerships and secondary sources when required, to promote appropriate competition and insure continuity of supply chain.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure improved managed vendor/supplier relationships.
  • Develop and drive execution strategies that support the organization’s goals and objectives for material competitiveness, supplier on-time delivery, supplier quality and new product development.
  • Working with Finance, develop and implement standardized company metrics.
  • Work with supply chain partners on the purchase of key raw and engineered components to ensure recognition of best network price and development of preferred material vendors based on quality, service & price.
  • Manage the overall logistics related to material flow including both plant and supplier capacity management – including design & implementation of supplier parks at selected manufacturing facilities.
  • Business Benefit Owner (BBO) for Procurement to Pay (PTP), Design to Build (DTB) and Quality (QUA) processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive responsibility over Purchasing, Materials Management, or Distribution in a service environment required.
  • CPM, CIRM or APICS Certification highly preferred
  • Experience in managing strategic (direct and indirect) purchases in a multi-plant environment.
  • Experience in development of long-term commodity strategies/agreements in a Supply Chain Management environment.
  • Experience creating policies and practices that leverage spend, manage supplier risk, optimize freight, and improve inventory turns in a global organization.
  • Formal LEAN training regarding Kanban, pull, value stream mapping, and waste reduction is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to think conceptually with a real commitment to change and continuous improvement.

Our client is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of proprietary irrigation products with a reputation and solid track record of advancing irrigation technology through innovative products that offer water and energy conservation opportunities. The company is fully committed to a partnership with the global agriculture community to aid in the production of food and fiber for a rapidly growing population and to help maintain the commercial viability of our industry.

The client is currently seeking an outside district sales manager to promote the sales of product into agricultural, industrial, and turf irrigation markets in the Mid-West US.  This is a home-based, outside sales position requiring extensive in-territory travel.  Occasional out of territory travel is required for training and other events.  Experience in sales, customer relations, product presentation, and knowledge of computer business software are necessary to manage an existing dealer network.

Candidates must possess an aptitude for relationship building and demonstrate an initiative-driven work ethic.  Other required skills include tradeshow abilities, presentation of educational seminars, strong follow up on sales and product application leads, and evaluation of new sales outlets.

Primary Responsibilities

Manages and promotes sales of all company products in specified territory: IL, IA, MO, MN, and WI. Also included will be sales duties in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Ontario.

Researches and develops market for product lines in this territory, manages dealer network to promote and sell product, monitors competing product and the market, services product lines and acquires ongoing knowledge in agricultural and other related practices by performing the following duties:

  • Pursues new business and product opportunities for the company.
  • Manages allotted company resources to ensure best use.
  • Manages trade show display and activity.
  • Maintains involvement in industry and academic organizations. Exhibits high initiative in territory, product, customer and resource management.
  • Pursues innovation in promoting existing product lines and development of new product concepts.
  • Effectively communicates with manager, company personnel, dealers, and end-users.
  • Manages and services assigned territory regarding product, customers and dealer evaluation.
  • Responds to field, product, and testing issues as needed.
  • Keeps records and reports as required.
  • Maintains and practices necessary software and electronic abilities.
  • Travel 2/3 of the time


  • Irrigation background in agriculture and turf applications
  • Strong technical knowledge base – specifically in water hydraulics and irrigation scheduling
  • 3+ years successful direct outside sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional communication and follow-up skills
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to practice good time management skills

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to support the Wastewater group. This position may be located in our Des Moines, IA or Cedar Rapids, Iowa office.


The Wastewater Public practice at HR Green covers a broad array of work, including: planning, studies, design, and construction phase services on municipal wastewater projects.

The Project Engineer acts as an authorized agent of the company and is responsible for the delivery of technically sound products that meet internal and external client expectations, on time and on/under budget. The Project Engineer makes significant design decisions with limited input by the Project Manager for assigned projects. These engineers assist with marketing and business development work and acts as Project Manager for assigned projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • As an individual contributor, uses professional judgment to direct and independently complete assigned engineering      designs.
  • Actively assists the Project Manager, or acts as project manager, and assigns tasks and schedules to Staff Engineer (I/II), Project Engineer and non-exempt project team members, answers questions,      and monitors progress.
  • Checks the accuracy (formal and informal QA/QC) of assigned tasks completed by other engineering and technical staff.
  • Makes major design decisions that meet the needs of external customers while coordinating the impact of such decisions on related project efforts.
  • Pro-actively identifies technical, schedule or financial issues and seeks resolution from the Project Manager and/or the      client, as appropriate to the situation.
  • Assists the Client in bidding or contractor selection if authorized by the Project Manager.
  • Responds to contractor questions and issues and prepares and issues project addenda as needed.
  • Recommends and prepares change orders.
  • Participates in the creation of engineering services proposals, including the calculation/estimation of time schedules and costs of the proposed work.
  • Signs and seals engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
  • Independently communicates on technical matters with the client.
  • Acts as technical expert on assigned projects when operating as an individual contributor, and acts as Project Manager on smaller scope or specialty projects as assigned. 

Education and/or Experience

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.  A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess five or more years of experience with wastewater related municipal projects in Iowa.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as an authorized agent of the company to sign engineering documents is required.
  • Must have knowledge of wastewater treatment process design for small and large systems.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must hold current Professional Engineer certification in one or more states in which HR Green conducts business (or have the ability to obtain such registration within six months of employment).  The employee must be capable of driving/operating a motor vehicle for company business, and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.

Language Skills 

Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills, and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans.

Reasoning Ability

Must be capable of correctly operating technical analysis equipment and computer equipment.    Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, and be able to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activities.

Relationship to Others 

This position may report to the Operations Manager or Practice Leader. Responsible for providing mentoring to less-experienced staff members in order to upgrade the overall talent level in the company and shows a willingness to help others meet critical deadlines.

Physical Demands

Work is primarily performed in the office with occasional trips to a client’s site or other locations as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for prolonged period of time, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands or arms. Hand eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and other office equipment. The employee is also required to kneel, crouch, and bend. Must be capable of carrying up to 30 pounds of equipment over all types of terrain and in all types of weather conditions.

Our Client Company is the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design and development organization. They are currently seeking a Project Manager in VT or Chelmsford, MA.  The salary range is 90-100k.  Relocation assistance is available.


The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of multi-discipline turbomachinery design and development projects including proposal writing, satisfaction of all project technical and contractual requirements and cost and schedule targets. 


The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to perform the following functions, among others:

  • Manage design/development projects, with overall technical, cost, and schedule responsibility.  Coordinate work with other internal engineering groups, outside vendors, consultants, and team members. Coordinate design activities and design decisions.  Assumes responsibility as primary client liaison for projects managed.
  • Insure proper workload planning, utilizing company resource management tools.
  • Work with sales department on proposals and in other areas to develop new business.



  • Minimum B.Sc. ME or similar technical degree required; M.Sc. ME preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years active engineering experience, in areas appropriate to projects being managed. Minimum of 5 years project management experience.  Experience with gas turbine engine design required.
